On September 22, 2012, Richard H. Adler was an invited speaker at the “Sports Medicine Prevention/Training/Therapy Head Injury to Upper Extremity” continuing medical education class presented by Overlake Hospital Medical Center. Mr. Adler presented “Practical and Legal Implications of the Lystedt Law For Today’s Physicians” to many healthcare providers including physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists.
A special lunch presentation featured Zackery Lystedt and his parents Victor and Mercedes. The audience was able to ask Zack and his parents about their rehabilitation journey over the last 6 year. At the end of the presentation Zack was given an award from Overlake Hospital Medical Center for his dedication to prevent preventable brain injuries and for making sports safer for youth athletes.
